Turn your photographs into a work of Art!

 

The process begins with any photographs,drawings, letters, and artifacts you have. A high resolution photocopy is made of your items. The photocopies are transferred on to 100% cotton rag paper using solvents and decals of your images. Once the transfers are completed, additional drawing is added to smooth the effect of the transferred images. Next, blending and shading with graphite, pen, and paint create areas of interest fading in and out of the drawing. After the drawing stage is complete, the image is sealed with a protective coating. The final stage is adding tones of various colors to give the drawing a certain appearance of age or mood.

 

I first used this process to create an image to celebrate my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. Commissions are available for anniversaries, reunions, remembrances, historical places, homes, and important events in one's life. Almost any idea is welcome and can be created! General size depends on subject matter, but typically fall into these categories: 16x20, 18x24, 24x36 inches and larger. It takes about a month to six weeks to complete. Prices range from $350.00 to $1200.00 depending on size and the amount of drawing needed. Throughout the process of creating the drawing, I will meet several times with the client. These meetings will show the progress and achieve an image that is both acceptable with artist and client.
