I graduated from the School of Art at East Carolina University and received my M.F.A. from the University of South Florida. During Graduate School I worked at the Institute for Research in Art, Graphicstudio, in Tampa Florida as a printmaking assistant. My work has appeared in many regional and national exhibitions, and includes private and gallery purchase awards. I incorporate printmaking, drawing, and mixed media in my work, with an emphasis on history and the human condition. Since returning to my home state in 1996, I have been teaching art at Enloe Magnet High School and continue to experiment with various media.
